What is a direct cremation?
A direct cremation means no hearse, pallbearers or ceremony at the crematorium. We collect the deceased and bring them into our care. The cremation takes place with no mourners present.
We let the family know the date and time of the cremation so they can arrange a small family gathering in our private chapel of rest the day before cremation.
The ashes are returned to family or we can scatter at the crematorium’s garden of remembrance.
Family are then free to gather for a more unique and personal send-off.
How does our direct cremation work?

We can provide urgent care 24 hours a day. If you prefer, please call us beforehand, so when the time comes there is less for you to worry about.
We willl complete the paperwork, offer support, ideas, or simply an ear, anytime.
Collection
We will transfer the deceased into our care.
Cremation
The family can arrange and visit the deceased in our chapel of rest before the cremation.
Following this, we will transport them to a crematorium for cremation, which you will not attend.
We hand-deliver the ashes
You can collect the ashes, we can scatter them for you, or we can hand-deliver the ashes anywhere locally. We can help create the send-off you want, when you’re ready.
